Lush Bubble Bar in Christmas Eve

Happy New Year everyone! Today I decided to treat myself to a nice bath using the Lush Bubble Bar in Christmas Eve. I figured I'd start the New Year by relaxing.

This is what is looks like:

I was very excited to try this product as it was very highly rated on Lush's site and is sold out. I loved the jasmine and ylang ylang scent it have off and I felt super moisturized. The only downside to this product was the lack of bubbles or colour.

This product took FOREVER to melt and made very few bubbles. I sat there for quite some time just waiting.

When it was finally done, the water didn't change colour very much. It had just a slight purple tint.

Overall, although it had a nice scent, I would not repurchase this product again. I was hoping for more of a WOW factor in terms of aesthetics. That is why I buy lush bubble bars and baths bombs after all.

What's your favourite Lush Bubble Bar?

  1. I used to use their stuff but it irritated my skin so I don't anymore lol. I once tried the glitter bomb as well and even though it was pretty, I was covered neck to toe in glitter! Not practical! Plus the store stinks so bad lol. I really like your blog! I'm glad that I found it! It would be nice if you could stop by my blog sometime too (I'm from England) as I post my outfits, personal style, likes and much more :) :)

    1. Yeah, I definitely find that the sparkles are a bit excessive. I'll definitely check your blog out.

  3. Thats a shame, I'd have hoped for some bubbles or at least some colour change in the water. Hope you had a fantastic new year x

  4. Nice post! I have only tried one bubble bar (can't remember the name) but I had a similar experience. However, even with the bath bombs, although it starts out all foamy, it quickly dissolves within like 10 minutes

    1. I hope for either lots of bubbles or a ton of colour change. This was neither :(

  7. Sounds like an awesome way to kick off the New Year… do they have a money back guarantee? Maybe you can get a refund. Sorry things didn't go as well as you planned… hey at least you have an excuse to relax a little more and explore different brands.

    1. It's completely used up and cost less than $10. I don't think I can get a refund for it.

  8. I love the glitter one for going out (well I did when I was at uni about 10 years ago!). Everything is covered in glitter for a long time. So worth it though. Thank you for commenting so much on my blog. I have a few problems replying directly back to you because you are a 'no reply' blogger. If you put your email into your account settings it means I can email you straight back, which would be nice as you have been a very welcome addition over at Craftbotic. xx

    1. I'm not too big on glitter myself. Thanks for the comment but I really don't use the e-mail address attached to this account, nor would I have time to look at e-mail from it. I work 2 jobs and find just maintaining the comments here to be difficult.

  14. I think you used the product the wrong way! You have to break off a piece and slowly crumble it under your running water! it takes some patience but the bubbels are really worth it! It took a bath last night, using this method and I never had so many bubbles ;) x

    1. I never thought of that. I'm used to the Bath Bomb where you just throw them in. I'll try crushing it next time. Thanks!
